Training global talents who will lead the future is becoming more important worldwide. The foreign language speech contest <Thinking Bird> is held to foster these global talents. This contest offers participants the opportunity to develop their speech skills and promote their growth as global talents.

<Thinking Bird> is a foreign language speaking contest that experiences the beauty of language and communication and promotes critical thinking and creativity. Our goal is for participants to express themselves in foreign languages, further develop their ideas, and develop excellent speech skills.

The purpose of this competition is to improve participants’ ability to speak foreign languages through all the processes of selecting topics to writing, memorizing, and presenting speeches.

Introduction to judges

The judges of the foreign language speech contest <Thinking Bird> are made up of experts in foreign language education. Judges will select the winners by evaluating the participants’ speeches objectively and fairly.

Judging criteria

· The content of a speech: Evaluate whether the subject and content of the speech are clear and logical

Pronunciation: Evaluate your pronunciation of a foreign language to be accurate and fluent.

Expressiveness: Evaluate whether you have used a foreign language to effectively express your thoughts and feelings.

Benefits of participating

There is no fixed amount of a script. However, please keep in mind that the speech time is up to 2 minutes.

Yes. Exceeding the speech time limit is a deduction factor.

We don’t have any rules specifically. Please take the video in a neat outfit.

No, you have to choose only one of the six topics announced.

  1. Take a video of your speech on one of the six topics given. You must appear in the video.
  2. Upload your video on YouTube.
  3. When uploading a video, the video setting must be set to ‘Public’. If set to private, the judge will not be able to view the video and will be rejected.
  4. Sign up for Thinking Bird website and click on “Apply” on the page to fill out the application form.
  5. Please attach the video URL to the application form and submit it.
